If you haven’t already heard, youtube is the second biggest search engine in the world. People spend hours per week using this platform. Many times looking for the services you offer.
I’m constantly telling my clients to be EVERYWHERE! You want to position your company where ever you think your clients/customers will be, or where they are looking for the services you offer.
For one of my own online businesses, I’ve built up a youtube channel with over 2200 subscribers, and over a million views. I tell you this to motivate you to implement a video marketing strategy. These videos get viewed hundreds of times a day, and sell my products every single day.
Here are a few things that will help your videos get more views, and hopefully more calls for your business.
Make sure the title of your videos has keywords in it that are relevant to the video, and that you know your market is searching on. So many times I see a generic business name as a title, which will do nothing for your search engine results.
Secondly, insert your phone number at the end of the title so that it shows up prominently in the search results, and when someone is watching your video on youtube.
Do not waste this valuable space with your company name. Use it to help your prospects find you when they are searching for the topic (or service) you are talking about in the video.
This is where you should literally write an article with the same verbiage that’s in your video. This will give your great content (and keywords) for google and the search engines to pick up in addition to the video itself.
Insert your company URL at the very beginning of your description, so that gives you a link back to your site. This is a two-fold benefit. It makes it easy for people to get to your site, and gives you a great backlink in googles eyes. This is a must!
At the end of the description insert your company name, address and phone, as well as the link to that specific video. I’m talking about the youtube video link, not your website link.
Call To Action
At the end of the video, you MUST have a call-to-action. This should be added as a closing to every video you upload to youtube.
What I mean, is you’ve just given away some great content for FREE, and now you are asking for the viewer to contact your business to help them even more.
This should be both your business URL (web address) and equally important your phone number.
I would say that over 70% of the videos I see do not have a call-to-action at the end. What a waste! You’ve got to tell people what you want them to do next, or they won’t do it.
