One profession that is really struggling in this economy is real estate. Marketing success in this profession is difficult unless you go above and beyond your competition.
I’m not talking about doing anything that is difficult, time-consuming or expensive. I’m talking about reaching out to your past and current clients with heartfelt cards and even gifts.
I cannot tell you how many homes we’ve sold and never heard from the real estate agent ever again…let alone a thank you.
On average, these realtors personally made between $5,000 to $9,000 on each of our sales. Now you’re telling me, that if you made that much, you can’t send me a thank you card and a gift basket? Really? It might cost you $75, but you just made $5,000…come on now!
It’s these little gestures that will go a long way with your clients. They will remember you for a long time. And more importantly, will refer many people to you, helping you grow your business without spending a dime on advertising. Even in this economy, I know of many real estate agents doing very well with this marketing approach.
Real Estate Marketing Success
I’ve helped real estate agents develop “campaigns” where several cards and gifts go out to their past and current clients throughout the year, and the response was incredible. Clients called back in shock. Blown away at this little gesture that was completely automated online, and yet went out in their handwriting, with their signature, and unique picture of the clients homes, with no promotional plug behind it.
Just a sincere appreciation gesture that made a huge impact on these people, and trust me…they will remember it. And that is how you have real estate marketing success right now.
The income potential from referrals is a big factor in making it worth you time (very little with an online marketing system), and money (very affordable). Just imagine setting up this system and receiving calls EVERY day from referrals? Having people want you to list their home and you don’t even know them, nor did you spend a dime to get them.
You will soon have a “pipeline” of prospects and clients that will keep you busy, and making money 24/7. Isn’t that what you want? To be so successful, you are making the kind of income you know you deserve? What would your life be like with a steady stream of clients coming in?
Real Estate Marketing Success With Cards
We have a unique, online marketing system that allows you to make beautiful cards for about $1 a card (including postage), all done on your computer, in your handwriting.
Just picture the impact of a past or current client when they get an unexpected card (and even a gift) in the mail with a picture of their beautiful home on the front of it? They will go nuts! It’s as easy as dragging and clicking to create a card like this with our software.
This will give you an idea of how creative you can get with cards, to strengthen your relationships with clients.
This is the actual inside of a 3 panel card one of our real estate agents used, but we removed their information for privacy. This took her less than 5 minutes to create, and she sent a gift basket with it. All done off her computer. No running to the Hallmark Store. Then to a gift store. Then to get postage and mail it at the post office.

Contact Me if you want to find out more about this unique online marketing system for real estate professionals.
And as always, I’d love to hear from you! Give me a shout out down below and some FB or Twitter love! Thanks so much!

You know, I have to say that the same goes for email drip campaigns in real estate. We use them for almost everything including getting in touch with our our in house buyers and keeping them well informed about what is going in the market. We have generated lots of repeat business this way and have been able to create a loyal client base.
Respectfully,
Tony

Well said Mike! We could all double our business if we spent more time and a lil money communicating with our past and current clients.
Make a difference today!

Great points, Mike. Cultivating the relationship AFTER the transaction is key in retaining business, specially in an industry so heavily based on referrals. I know that as a consumer, it’s those little things that make me go back to the same person. I’ll have to give you guys a try soon.

That is funny – the main thrust of our team meeting today was relationships and connections. The most important thing in Real Estate is connection, no matter what medium you choose.
We used to always bring lunch to newly settled buyers a few days after they moved in.

@Ben – Thanks Ben!
How about our online tool?
@Alex – IMO it’s all about what you do AFTER that makes a lasting impression.
@Diane – So what is your solution Diane

You are 100% correct in that the relationship is built after the house is sold. It’s much easier to ask for a referal from a client than try to get a new client.

I think this blog post was probably a good kick off to a potential series of articles about this topic. A lot of users pretend to understand what they are writing about when it comes to this stuff and most of the time, very few people actually get it. You seem to grasp it though, so I think you should take it and run. Thanks a lot!

I agree Louis. I could write several more articles, and at your request, may do just that

Even real estate marketers go to online marketing. I was able to attend online seminar and found out that earning huge amount of money through internet marketing is really possible, but not that easy. Since it’s a very tough job to earn money, marketers need to find new approach to make a sale. I just like the idea of making a card using house and lot pictures. Earning a bit for card sale while doing getting free advertisement from it.

Hey Cole!
Online marketing is not a quick fix, fast buck approach to making money, but if you learn it, you can leverage the Internet to grow any business.
